SMITHS STRENGTHEN SURVEYING ARM WITH NEW APPOINTMENT
Property consultants, Smith and Sons has welcomed industry expert Malcolm Pembridge into the survey and valuation department.
With over 40 years experience in surveying, Malcolm was enjoying semi-retirement when the opportunity at Smiths was presented. He explained: “I had in fact semi-retired when the position came up with Smith and Sons. They are experiencing a high level of demand for surveys and valuations and they were looking for an experienced team member which I saw as the perfect opportunity.”
As a former area Director within the surveying department for Lloyds bank, Malcolm then went on to become Partner at Clive Waktin where he was head of surveys and valuations.
Andrew Smith, Partner at Smith and Sons commented: “We are very busy in the survey and valuation department and have been considering taking on another surveyor for some time. Malcolm was considered to be the ideal person. He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable on the property market in the Wirral area and is already proving to be a huge asset to the team.”
Malcolm added: “Smith and Sons is a long established business with a fantastic reputation and I look forward to working with them under my new role.”
Malcolm will focus largely on RICS Homebuyer reports working with private individuals whilst also carrying out residential valuation work for matrimonial, inheritance tax and pension fund purposes.
