SMITH AND SONS SUPPORT STOREHOUSE WITH CHARITABLE DONATION
Smith and Sons has boosted a North West charity funding pot with a significant donation.
The Storehouse Project is a Christian charity that collects food, clothing, furniture and household items from members of the community and delivers them to clients referred to the service by various agencies.
The donation will be used to invest in additional storage, an essential resource if the charity is to continue to retain and redistribute goods to those in need most.
Julie explained: “For us, finding a space to store our goods is so important. At the moment we are literally collecting and redistributing in the same day as we simple don’t have anywhere to keep these items. By having a space, we will not only to be able to support more people but we will be able to store and donate goods in a more thoughtful and planned way.
“This donation by Smith and Sons is gratefully received. We, alongside so many other charities, rely heavily on support particularly from the local business community. We support between 150 – 300 people each month including families and children, many of whom have come to rely on the services we provide.
“More space equates to more support and more resources to collect and store – this will really help take us take a step closer to realising this!”
The Storehouse project directly helps hundreds of people each year through its delivery service. Through work with other charities and organisations, it indirectly help thousands more across the borough, tailor making each package for the individual and providing a food parcel with every furniture delivery made.
