SMITH AND SONS REVEAL CHRISTMAS AUCTION RESULTS
The results are in from the latest Smith and Sons property auction with 14 of the lots sold, realising over £1.5million in sales, with several bargains secured on the day.
The varied auction, consisting largely of Wirral based properties, generated good levels of interest with a number of well-priced lots realising and in several cases exceeding their guides with seasoned investors continuing to buy and some owner occupiers tempted to purchase houses needing upgrading.
Sale prices varied from £36,250 to £246,000 with commercial and residential properties sold on the day offering good returns instantaneously.
Chris Johnson, Auctioneer at Smith and Sons commented: “This was a varied auction in terms of the diversity of properties available and the sensible guides they were offered at. We welcomed a lot of interest whilst recognising the current uncertainty in the economy and property market. We achieved some good sales with several properties selling which had failed to sell through the normal private treaty route
“We are already taking entries for our Spring auction in February and expect to see increased confidence return to the market particularly as mortgage rates are already beginning to fall.”
