New life in historic square
Renewed interest in Wirral's historic Hamilton Square continues as developer Goodman Wells completes the purchase of a further two adjoining Grade 1 listed properties.
Smith and Sons have secured a series of deals in the past 12 months in and around the picturesque square that sits in a central position within Wirral, with excellent transport links to Liverpool, Chester and motorways.
With a combined floor area of almost 6,000 sq. ft, this latest sale of the two five storey properties sees the planned transformation of former offices into luxury apartments.
Jason Wadeson, Partner at Smith and Sons said: "These buildings around the square are stunning architecturally and being in such a great location, provides developers with the opportunity to create some incredibly appealing homes. We believe that these will appear to a broad cross section of people looking to live within a historic and peaceful setting but with easy access to nearby cities and towns."
Goodman Wells have previously purchased two other properties on the square through Smith and Sons that are currently being refurbished and renovated for residential purposes.
Paul Burgess, Director at Goodman Wells added: "We're pleased to secure two more purchases at the historic Hamilton Square where we are currently developing six buildings in total. Two of the buildings (one being the former Nat West Bank) are now completed and a number of the apartments are already let.
"Across all of our projects, we endeavour to protect and restore the important listed features of each building, taking them back to their former glory whilst enhancing the interior in line with modern living standards. "
