LONG SERVICE AWARD PRESENTED TO SMITH AND SONS AT WIRRAL BUSINESS AWARDS
Smith and Sons were presented with the ‘Long Service Award’ at the annual Wirral Business Awards, celebrating the historic firm’s 175th anniversary.
A team from Smiths attended the glamorous event, held at Thornton Manor in Wirral, along with 620 other leading figures from within the Wirral business community.
There were 16 award categories overall and the Smiths announcement came at the end of the presentations, marking a fantastic culmination to the ceremony.
Chris Johnson, Managing Partner at Smith and Sons said: “This was a huge honour for us. This year was a really important one for the business as we mark our 175th birthday. Not many businesses within Merseyside have reached this landmark but we are in good company as both the Philharmonic and Cunard are also celebrating their 175th in 2015!”
He added: “We had a fantastic evening and were pleased to be able to celebrate alongside Wirral’s leading lights in business and commerce.”
