Easy Sale Secured of 47 Castle Street

Smith and Sons has secured the sale of 47 Castle Street to EasyHotel, the budget hotel chain founded by Easyjet tycoon, Stelios Haji-Ioannou.

The six storey property that sits in the heart of Liverpool City centre was formerly used as office space in floors two and above whilst the ground floor remains occupied by the Salt House Bacarro restaurant. Work is soon set to begin at the site transforming the building into a £3million budget hotel, EasyHotel.

Due to open in Spring next year, the hotel will offer some 68 rooms subject to planning consent.

The property was sold by Smith and Sons on behalf of retained clients, Merseyside Estates Limited. The building occupies some 2,500 square foot on each floor with Castle Street considered one of Liverpool's premier commercial areas.

Sean Seery, Partner at Smith and Sons commented: "We have managed 47 Castle Street for many years and identified EasyHotel as being a perfect fit and negotiated a sale.

"Easyhotel will offer low cost and quality city centre accommodation whilst popular restaurant, Salthouse Bacarro will remain fully operational at the ground floor level."
